Hi, we are considering relocating from Louisiana to Georgia due to the expanding film industry . How is the work in Savannah for transportation drivers? Thanks!

Check in with the Savannah Film Office to get an idea of ongoing projects. Right now, there are something like five (5) features shooting in the Savannah area. Frankly, though, that's busier than we've ever been, so there's hardly a precedent for film transportation work making for a sustainable living around here. If you're CDL, you might find yourself doing more regular business with port/logistics related traffic.

Great when there's 3 movies in various stages of production at the same time (like now) and one of this is Baywatch --- with a huge cast and crew going out to Tybee Island every day. I worked on Baywatch Monday and one of my drivers was local. But she made a comment about being glad to finally work again or something like that, so I get the impression this isn't full-time of steady for drivers in Savannah ...

ATLATNTA ON THE OTHER HAND ...
