A update....
We got a cash offer from a buyer today in NYS for the house there. So we should close on that in two weeks and this house in Savannah shortly after! I am more than relieved!
We are learning the area bit by bit. I do need my GPS for some, but others I am now zipping around. I want to say how nice it is to meet people who are genuinely nice, and welcoming. I feel like I've been waiting all my life to come here.

So ... is "southern hospitality" a myth or is it real? Many people on this site (not Savannahians!) insist it's the latter and fake "stab you in the back" friendliness.
