The resurgence of life into the neighborhood has caught the attention of the City of Savannah staff members.

According to an item on this week's city council agenda, the council will consider declaring three lots at 2115 Bull Street as surplus, and up for sale.

The agenda item specifically highlights the growth of Starland as a reason for wanting to sell the lot.

The building and adjacent parking lot are home to Savannah Chatham Metro Police's Traffic Operations. Employees there will be moved to a different building.

"It gives a good possibility for something new and interesting," said Jeff Neugebauer, manager of The Wormhole.

Neugebauer said he doesn't know what should go there, but whatever it is, should be local, like many of the businesses in the area.
