How are you getting health insurance in Savannah area? I'm looking at the prices on healthcare.gov and through the private market (or whats left of it) and they're extremely expensive IMHO.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

I'm headed back to healthcare.gov. If you think the Ambetter plans are "expensive," you're right. But, you're also possibly new to the game. Health insurance is, and has been, cost-prohibitive for many people in this country, who are not insurable by their workplace, the military or due to disability or very low income. After all, that was the whole point of the ACA in the first place - to fix that problem.

Unfortunately, our congressmen and women worked very hard to keep the ACA from being successful - by exacerbating its flaws instead of fixing them, by spending disproportionate time on publicizing their disdain for it, and striving to ensure its demise. All the while, doing absolutely NOTHING to come up with an alternative solution, and in the end, those louts couldn't even repeal it. Damned pitiful representation, if you ask me, and now we need to repeal THEM.

But, let's not get too political about the oxygen thieves in Washington, D.C...

Relatively speaking, the Ambetter plans now available in Georgia are priced more competitively than anything else I've found that's available to me as a self-employed business owner who cannot join a bigger group plan.

You ever hear that phrase, "you made that bed, now sleep in it?" Yeah, next time, make your voice heard.
