Suburbs of Savannah schools question (Richmond Hill: house, safe neighborhood, private school)

Hi All,

We are a family of five that is considering relocating to the south. My husband has a traveling job so we aren’t worried about finding work, but I am interested in feedback on the schools in the suburbs of Savannah. I really love our public education in the North where we live and I am trying to find something comparable. We probably can’t afford the expense of private school, so I don’t think that is an option. Richmond Hill’s schools were coming back 8/10 on greatschools.org, but I wasn’t sure how accurate that is. Is it feasible to find a four bedroom home in a safe neighborhood for under 240k around the Savannah area? Thanks for any help!

Yes, that's feasible. Richmond Hill is a good area with good schools about 30 minutes out of Savannah (depending on traffic).

You can definitely get a 4BR house in that price range ... Richmond Hill is an option but you should also look into Effingham County if good schools are a concern. I recommend using https://www.schooldigger.com. It’s much better than Great Schools.o
