Hello,

Planning on being in Savannah, depending on travel decisions we make, either on Saturday March 14th for St. Patrick's Festival, or on 17th for the actual parade.

-Which is the most unique and enjoyable experience?
-What are the logistics of getting and parking downtown during this time?
-What is the atmosphere of the city like in the non-event areas? Possible to find pockets of calm?
-It sounds like as of now, festivities are still on? I will of course monitor that.
-Anything else I should be aware of.

Thanks!

Welp... nevermind, though I may still come to your fair city this week anyways. We will see.. but perhaps some last minute deals.

Ok, so this weekend is the party weekend. Parking is a challenge on parade day, so you might need to park a bit outside of the historic district and hike in. Monday is nothing official, but it will still be a festive day. Tuesday’s parade may be a bit less than usual, since the fear of the virus could keep some participants out. So far, there is nothing officially curtailing any of the festivities.

Come, and go with the flow. It’s a new situation, so come and roll with it. The downtown businesses will appreciate it.

We are still avoiding the whole thing, and staying close to home, but we do that without the threat of virus.
