Did Newsboy......die?

His status shows that he is a legacy member. The implications of such a title have me wondering......

That is what “Eternal Member” means in his status.

I had no idea and I’m very sad to hear this.

CaseyB,
I have located his obituary (my very strong hunch, but not confirmation). Am I allowed to post the name, a link? I don't wish to break C-D protocols.

I’ve seen some people post them before, but maybe a link to it would be better.

Someone must have provided proof to the CD Administration because they won’t just take someone’s word.

This is all very sad.

I thought of him as a young man, and hoped it wasn’t true.

I can confirm via two of his friends whom he did plays with here in Savannah, that he did pass away. Apparently he passed away some time last month. A friend called and he didn't answer. So they did a welfare check and found him in his apartment.

I didn't know about this until I asked them via facebook just now, since Newsboy and I had a few mutual friends. Sad to hear, as he was always here posting on this forum about major economic and transportation developments for Savannah. Always enjoyed exchanging PM's with him.

RIP to one of the stalwarts of this forum.

The first entry is Newsboy. We attended the same university, and his top position with the newspaper there is very, very hard to achieve. A smart, very talented young man.

54 is quite young. I hope it wasn't due to coronavirus.

Sad news indeed.
