I was just wondering how safe West Boughton Street is. Thanks for your help.

It's probably just as safe as East Broughton. Bull Street is the center of the Historic District. The numbers start at #1 there and go up both east and west. The 200 block of West Broughton is two blocks west of Bull and the 200 block of East Broughton is two blocks east of Bull. Broughton goes from East Broad to Martin Luther King Blvd....which used to be called West Broad.

Safety depends a lot on the time. Noon is much safer in all areas than Midnight. No place is 100% safe. Bad things can happen at anytime. Be watchful. Don't flash money around and if you are a little less than sober.....call a cab back to your room.

Broughton St. is one of the few places I'll walk by myself after dark downtown. I don't think it's safe. It's just safe enough to walk by yourself if you need to.

Smile Thanks

Thanks for the help. There will be three of us so I think we'll be fine. We are staying in one of the condos over Artwells Frame Shop. None of us have been to Savannah so we are extremely excited. Thanks again.

I think that's ATWELL'S, not Artwell's. I might just go see what it looks like. The last time I was in that area....years and years ago, it was just beginning to be spruced up. Some of those old commercial buildings have a suprising amount of fancy details on the outside.

I hope you enjoy your stay

Lightbulb Atwells

Thanks Padgett2 for correcting me. If you go and take a look, please let me know what you think.

Cool Ghost Tours

I thought of another question. What is the best Ghost Tour to take? All info is greatly appreciated.
