Mrs Wilkes!!!! YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Now there is a place not to miss. They only do lunch open at 11:00 and if you want to be in on the first seating I would get there no later than 10:30. You meet all kinds of interesting people while you wait in line.

Good food and great fun. What could be better.

So is every single building in Savannah, if you believe what you hear on the ghost tour.

BTW we waited 2 hours last Sunday to make reservations at The Lady and Sons; granted, it was a holiday weekend. We wouldn't have done it except that the couple we were with had never eaten there. The food was quite good (Sunday is 'buffet-only').
The food at Pirates' House is quite ordinary IMO. It might be worth going in for a drink, but I wouldn't eat there. We ate at Uncle Bubba's and were very pleasantly surprised.

Where is Uncle Bubbas? We will be staying on W. Broughton St. Don't really believe in hauntings myself, but my sister sure does.

Yes; we took a cab.

If you want to walk to a seafood restaurant, try Boar's Head on River St. We thought it was good, and you can get She-Crab Soup there
