Thanks for the help. I decided to plant an "English cottage" flower bed to give it the wild, messy and dense look. I cant try out everything this way without messing up the total look.

We went to the Bamboo Farm's Spring thing a few weekends ago and there were many local nurseries there with plants for sale. I'm sure the folks there could recommend some of these nurseries. Do you know they have a banana field there with all different types of bananas that grow in GA? Also sugar cane as well as the bamboo. There is a Japanese Magnolia tree there that was in bloom and it was beautiful.
I am just dying to do some southern gardening, if only we could get moved down there.

They are in Richmond Hill. I've never been there, but I have driven by the sign...not hard to find at all.

We had a Japanese Magnolia when we lived in Mississippi and although I'd never seen one before we moved there, it was one of the PRETTIEST trees I'd ever seen when it bloomed in early spring. After the blooms fall off, it's much like any other tree, but the blossoms were beautiful!
