Can anyone recommend a good fence company around Savannah/Pooler? We want a white vinyl privacy fence. Thanks.

I did a quick google search and did not recognize any companies I could recommend or warn against using.

Have you already gotten quotes from the big box stores? My personal approach would be to find a decent carpenter who needs work and hire him/her. There are plenty out there who have been hit hard by the construction slump who are out of work through no fault of their own.

My son shopped Lowe's and Home Depot. Then, an installer from one of those stores came out to do an estimate and said his company could give him a better quality fence for less than Lowe's or Home Depot.
What was first estimated at about $7000, is now coming in at $13000. Way too much for them after just buying a new house. He's not having too much luck finding a third estimate in order to know for sure what a fair price for what he wants is...
A carpenter would be good if he wanted a wood fence, but he wants a vinyl fence.

It would still require someone with the skills of a good carpenter to build a decent fence. Doesn't matter if it's vinyl.

Default Fence Company

A friend referred me to Southern Splendor Fence. Their pricing was great, they showed up when they said they would and their work was great. Check them out @ Home Page - Southern Splendor Fence Company | Savannah, Georgia

I guess his loyalty only goes so far. Makes you kinda wonder about his honesty and ethics.

Not exactly a recommendation: there is a classified ad on Craigs List under " skilled services" that claims 25 years doing fences. Titled "fences". Third one down from top at 7:15am
