I've seen shows on television where physicists say that space is causing gravity by pushing on bodies, instead of the bodies exerting a force.

Do we really know what gravity is?

I wonder if this is why we have different ranges with the tides through the world?

I've always been intrigued with the tide. Here in south Louisiana a large rage would be 6" where as someplace else it can be several feet.

They say the closer you get t the equator the less range you will get. Not sure how true that is because the mangrove marsh in Florida gets several feet at a time and they are closer to the equator then us.
