On the news wire this afternoon: It is official, 2014 was the warmest year recorded since records started being kept. Both the air temperature and water temperature were the warmest in recorded history.
I'm pro-GlobalWarming. Think of the explosion in new farm lands, sea life, and just general well being.
Like the saying, the only constant is change. Why are people against change? Scared? Scared of something better? So a few polar bears conk out. Sorry, next time don't evolutionary isolate yourself. Only through change do we people, as well as everything, become stronger, able, and enlightened.
As someone else posted, when someone can show me there hasn't been major fluctuations in the Earth's climate over the past 1,000,000 years my answer is no to the OP...
2014 being the warmest year on record is not as concerning as the fact that temperatures are consistently rising over the entire recorded period. How high will they go and what does that mean for us (whether we're the cause or not)?
Man-made global warming is a theory. Just like any scientific theory, one should test against it (especially if you're trying to prove the theory wrong). The scientific approach of proving this theory wrong would be to stop producing greenhouse gasses and show that the world Earth's climate stops warming. One could only imagine that a reasonably intelligent person who disagrees with the theory would jumping on this opportunity to prove it wrong.

Totally agree. No matter what the cause (or more likely causes), it ain't going to be good for anyone. Especially our grandchildren and beyond......
