I'll miss it about as much as I miss Clippy.

MS has stated it's staying. Paint is all right for quick edits, there is better programs available like Gimp if you are looking for free program.

Makes good sense to me. It only took me ~15 years to figure it out.

I keep the XP version too, for the heck of it.
