I have tried googling but feel absolutely overwhelmed at the options out there for home security/smart home.

Is there a simple, economical, single company that anyone could recommend for my new home? I want monitored home security, plus the ability to set things like thermostat, some lights, and see who is at my door, from my cell phone. Are there other features you would recommend?

I don't even have internet set up at this new home yet, but was looking at Xfinity which bundles internet and home security. Anyone like or hate Xfinity's system? Or recommend another company? I am not tech savvy enough to piece together various components myself; I'd strongly prefer "one stop shopping." I don't want to be gouged on the upfront or monthly cost, but honestly, at this point, simplicity and reliability is more important than saving a few dollars.

I was just going to ask the same question. My sister and BIL like their Arlo, and I've heard good things about Simpli Safe which is $14.99/month for monitoring. We've been thinking about installing cameras for awhile, but now better act on it. My neighbor had windows busted out of her van overnight last night, and I've had guests whose cars were ransacked when they stopped by for a couple of hours. Does anyone know of any good security system which you can add sensors/components to without breaking the bank?
