I have an idea for a website or computer program (not sure which platform it would be best in), but don't know where to go or what to do with it. Do I contact a programmer or website developer? How do I find someone? Can I trust someone? I really have very little programming experience and would have to start from scratch and then it would probably still take me FOREVER!!
I was thinking I should create a demo and then try to sell it to someone or attempt to do this myself but like I said, it's a huge undertaking - but I don't know who - and then do I need to demo or can I just pitch the "idea" to various outlets? Who would I pitch it to?
It's an idea to help everyone with food - cooking, groceries, etc. So Foodnetwork?, Google?, grocery stores?, allrecipes.com, etc.
Does anyone know or have any experience on how to do this sort of thing?
Thank you!
(Mod, if this isn't the right forum, please move it for me. I couldn't decide between this and shopping and consumer products - thank you!)
Ideas are great things.. I know I've had a billion..
The main thing to do if you want to make your fortune off it.. is make your sure you’re committed to it meaning.. you see yourself 1-10 years from now in pleasurable experiences because of/with it..
You can take your idea 2 ways..
1. Grand delusion.. if you are big into it and you create the illusion it will become real.. this basically just means if you really love it.. you will create and be a success, it's no problem..
2. Skeptic way.. take your idea to business professionals meaning those who understand the industry you’re trying to create ect./market (I might be considered one of these individuals) and get honest answers on the marketability and feasibility
Here's a true business motto.. marketing and selling is everything.. you don't have to have a good idea or product to sell anything.. you just need marketing..
