I liked #6 and that is within 3 days of death our digestive enzymes and gut bacteria start to consume our 100 trillion ruptured cells which releases noxious gases that bloat our bodies and make our eyes bulge out.

Some of the list seems to be anecdotal. Mummies used as fuel for trains is probably a hoax, as noted by the editor's comment at the bottom of the listing.

I'm kind of scratching my head over the estimate that 100 billion people have died since humans began. Does that include the extinct hominid species that preceded modern humans (homo sapiens)?

Regarding embalming fluids, I understand that today only a small amount is usually used (along with makeup) in order to help make the body cosmetically presentable for the funeral. There usually isn't enough to preserve the body for long periods of time like the Egyptian mummies. But nearly three-quarters of a million gallons used in embalming each year?
