Apparently Seattle made one of 6 cities with the best pyrotechnic show! Who knew!

Ready, Aim, Fireworks - 3 - MSN Local Edition

And how funny, they even talked about the rain as well... as stated: "... Over the course of 110 years of previous Seattle weather, it rained 32 times on the 4th of July..." Well... that's just awful, isn't it?

Best 4th of July I ever had was on a boat in Seattle. My friends and I embarked out of Elliott Bay, went through the locks, boated around Lake Washington, dove off the boat and went swimming. Then we anchored in Lake Union, grilled out and had the best seat imaginable for a spectacular fireworks display. I've done the 4th in celebrated places like Philadelphia and Boston, but still to this day that 4th of July in Seattle can never be topped. It was awesome!!!

And of course, we have to thank Tom Douglas, Dave Ross, and all the local people and businesses that donated to fund this year's show. Apparently they're going with the donation route again next year:

Just got back from Lake Union, and my goodness, what a spectacular show! Where I was, we had all thought the show had ended more than once, only for it to start up again!
