This is sweet. Two of my favorite cities, Seattle and Oakland made the top 10 of their list.

This list is an absolute joke.

Las Vegas tied for 1st?
Orlando #6?
San Francisco not in top 10?

LOL. Forbes has produced some TERRIBLE lists/rankings before, but this one has to take the cake. Wow.

If Forbes is the authority on what is cool, I'm a Swedish brain surgeon fluent in Swahili.

I don't trust Forbes much either but I think they were pretty well on target as Seattle is a cool place.

Why LA? I'd switch it with Seattle personally. I really don't see the attraction to LA.

I agree with all of your others.

To Gentoo: It already sounds like you live here!

I agree with many of the cities forbes listed as the coolest cities. However, I strongly disagree with Las Vegas and Orlando and think they are some of the lamest places in the USA.

These are my top 10 for coolest cities:

1. New York City/Chicago/Seattle/San Francisco all tied for first place.
5. Washington D.C.

6. Boston
7. Philadelphia
8. Los Angeles
9. Portland

10. San Diego/Houston/Dallas/Austin/Atlanta/Denver/Minneapolis all tied for 10th

Wewe ni zinahitajika katika chumba cha dharura daktari.

But anyway, Las Vegas is cool...for a weekend...once.

I prefer the city of Seattle to LA as well. However, something about LA is "cool". Not sure what it is. Maybe the weather? The grittiness? The diversity?

On the flip-side, the sprawl isn't cool, nor is the public transportation (although it is improving).
