I have been doing a lot of research on an apartment in Federal Way area and would like suggestions.

Me my wife (late 20's) and 6 month old baby will be coming up to Federal Way

looking for:
3 bedroom around $1k a month. I want a safe fun area for my family to live.

I am open to surrounding areas roughly 20Mins or so away from Federal way (320th Street).

Thank You In Advance.

Redondo Beach, Browns Point is close by and pretty mellow. Generally, its best to stay off and away from Hwy 99.

If you're wanting a bit more urban experience, you can also check into DT Tacoma. With the DT Tacoma experience, at most you're looking at half hour traffic. You can also find something with your budget and wants in DT Tacoma.

The Federal Way Police Department has an area on their web site for crime stats on all the apartments within the city. I highly recommend you look at these to understand which ones to stay away from. Generally speaking but not always the case, apartments close to the freeway (I-5) may be more problematic.
