New to the area, and I miss still water fishing. Where can I go to do some off shore fishing with a fishing poll? What is the closest lake/river/spot to go to from Bellevue? Do I need to get a license? Any restrictions on the fish?

A license is required to fish. There usually is a day where it's not required to have a license, but even then there's a limit (size and number).

This is a good site to check out the information: https://fishhunt.dfw.wa.gov/

Thanks for the website. I am also wondering where would you go to actually fish? There are few parks along lakes, and some of them I guess allow fishing, but mostly as I drive by it is all tightly surrounded by houses and private properties. Is there areas, on this close by lakes, where it is not so packed with waterfront private properties, or is there only parks for fishing?

Since you're in Bellevue, you can head over to Fall City where the river is. I've seen people fish there. Also check into Chester Morse lake. Or rent a boat and go over to Puget Sound.
