my wife and I need help on a Seattle neighborhood or nearby city 9we are open to both). We are moving from CA next August, so we have a little time to research this. My wife already has a job offer in Seattle and I am seeking a new job in the Environmental field. We are looking to rent a new/newer 2 bed 2 bath house for under $1200/month with a yard and garage in a nice, safe neighborhood AWAY from the traffic and hustle and bustle but close enough (20 miles) for us to work in Seattle. Looking for an area with shops, resteraunts, shopping, etc. I'm an avid fisherman so anywhere near the water is nearby would be a plus. We have no kids and are not going to have any soon. Anywhere in Seattle or a surrounding city come to mind?

Don't know about rents, but I'll put in a pitch for one of my favorite neighborhoods in Seattle - Columbia City - lots of shops, restaurants ... 20 minute bus ride to downtown. Walk to Lake Washington for fishing, boating ...
