Hi all!
We are moving from Colorado to Washington. We are looking for a rural area where we can have 2 acres or so without many trees. (I like to look far and wide) My husband will be working in Bellevue I looked on realtor.com and saw that maybe Woodinville or Renton was more rural and where we could find a place with a view and some acreage around 400 to 500.000 rather than be amongst all the trees.
Anyone have any suggestions ?

Default Woodinville or Renton

Both areas are already pretty urbanized but I would think Woodinville is less so. Either direction from Bellevue will result it a nasty commute if your husband works standard hours.

I give you credit for fishing around are hard as you are doing.

While anything is possible, the words "woodinville" "view" "acreage" "400,000" would not be something that would come to mind.

I live in Bothell, one town to the west, 1,500 sq. ft., 9000 sq. ft. lot, no view. Snohomish county just tax appraised my home at 325K. I could sell it tomorrow for $385. I would expect woodinville with what you want to run something in the range of 800K and up.

You would need to move farther east and north to get into the 4-500K range. The trade-off is time. The commute from Monroe and vacinity can be excess of one hour per way.

upon further investigation.....we have decided North Bend/Carnation.Duvall area is best for us. Found a few places with at least an acre for 550.00 there.
Thanks all for the input!

There is also Fall City, Snoqualmie on the 90 eastbound. Traffic going into Bellevue from any direction will be a commute, but I think Hwy 90 should clear after Issaquah. The perameters you would like to stay within are realistic in those areas you have found. Besides, the commute is beautiful as well

I believe it rains a little more in that area, compared to Seattle proper, but if the doesn't bother you.....

I don't know much about Woodinville, but I work in Renton. Renton is a pit. Bad crime. Terrible traffic. Urban sprawl. Blech.

North Bend, Carnation, and Duvall are nice. Still rather small, though North Bend has grown A LOT in the past 10 years and continues to do so. Its location on the interstate is probably a big factor. It's been a while since I was last out to Carnation and Duvall, but they seemed like nice, quiet areas.
