hey Seattle,
I experienced his first earthquake today. it was quite a shakeup here in Philly! I'll be heading your way this Friday to experience the area for myself gonna see Mt.Rainier and Olympic national park. I'm on a mission to visit the most northwestern point in the country on the 1st and then a plane ride to southernmost point on the 2nd of September! Summertime rocks!
Any recommendations, Anyone?

This post is confusing. Any recommendations for what exactly?

Btw, in NYC...that earthquake was nothing(as far as intensity), although highly unsusal for the area.

As a native Californian living in Northern Virginia, I was thoroughly unimpressed with this Virginia earth quake.

It was kinda funny, everyone at work was panicing and running out of the building. I'm like, chill, the drywall wasn't even cracked.

Buildings were evactuated, trains and planes delayed, people saying how scary it was...and this was in nyc! I was like, over *that*????!!? It was so slight, I texted my husband to see if he even felt it. Mass hysteria...

moderator interpose: we'd rather not have a discussion in this thread about the East Coast earthquake or earthquakes in general here in the Seattle forum unless it has to do with Seattle itself. There are quite a few threads on earthquakes pertaining to Seattle already posted in this forum. Please do a search for those. OP, if you could qualify what you mean by your requests for "recommendations," please.

to clarify for recommendations, I was referring to the following: sights to see, trails to hike, scenic overlooks that you may know of around Olympic national park and Mt, Rainier areas. someplace off the beaten path. any good local sights/dives/diners along rt 410, rt 12, or rt 101 worth stopping at?
