Hi,

Are there any community-based organizations in the Seattle area that offer a variety of adult education classes, e.g., photography, foreign languages, dance, music, literature, etc.?

Community colleges are great for that. There's Bellevue College All Class Descriptions at Bellevue College and Cascadia Community College Cascadia Community College: green college, shares UW Bothell campus, AA degree, transfer University among others. We get both class schedules in the mail and I were new to the area that's the first thing I would look into. You're meeting people with common interests and gaining knowledge while you do it.

Thank you! The Cascadia college or the Redmond city program seems like what I am looking for and I see some classes I am interested in taking. Unfortunately neither program offers a French class, but maybe I can find a private lesson for that.
