Good luck on the transfer! We'll see you out here on the East Coast in a few years.

If she's recommending this lie, then no, she's not "good."

Stay home don't move out here. All you'll do by moving out here is start whining about the weather, take a job away from a local, raise the cost of living, increase our traffic, and eat our salmon.

Seattle doesn't need you and regardless of how nice us locals may act towards you we will always resent you. So please help keep Washington, Washington by staying where you are.

You just left a post saying you couldn't afford to live in your home anymore.

So being an American means staying where you're at and not taking jobs away from the "locals"? Awesome viewpoint my friend. You'll go far in life I'm sure.

As for the weather.....ever considered I actually LIKE the weather out there and that's one of the reason I'm moving there? You sound more like the people in NC than anyone in the Northwest. If it rains in NC then everybody's day is ruined and everyone is in a foul mood. I'm the exact opposite. Give me some weather with character for a change.

We moved from the RTP area a few years ago, but my husband was lucky enough to be able to contract for a while with his NC while we transitioned. The move itself was pricey (we had to ship both our cars and hire movers). Just, you know, keep in mind the difference in cost of living. Rent and food especially.

I'm weird in that I do prefer the weather in Seattle. It still took a year to adjust to it all.

You seem young and not tied down yet, so hey, why not try it out. If you're unhappy and underemployed in NC, it might be time for a change.

Yeah, I happen to love the weather here, too. Sorry, NorthwestRepublic -- I'm not going anywhere.

So I didn't hear back from anyone yesterday or today about me getting the promotion in Seattle. I have to remember that it takes time and that people can be slow. Still.......I want to head out there ASAP!

I'm thinking of giving my job my two weeks notice May 4th and riding off into the sunset with or without a job in mid May, toward Seattle. It's a dangerous move, but I haven't done anything crazy in my entire life. You gotta do something sometime.

That and they could call next week. I sure hope they do. :/
