Do FM transmitters for connecting mp3 players to cars work okay in the Seattle region? Neither of my cars have a direct input on the built-in radio, so buying one transmitter is a lot cheaper than upgrading both cars radios (I'll only use one car at a time, my wife uses whichever I'm not using but doesn't use the radio much).

I generally listen to spoken word stuff, so sound quality isn't foremost, but I know it will annoy me if it is full of static. I know that Seattle has pretty congested airwaves so I'm hoping that there are a few sweet spots I can use for the full commute.

Yes they work fine. (I had a Jabber, but it wasn't very good)

But get one that can seek for an empty bandwidth because there are lots of stations.

Okay, thanks.

Do you know what frequency you used?

I skipped around for a while until I found one that worked all over, but that was a year or so ago. The Jabber was so sorry I returned it.

Needless to say, you want an FM device. Also nice is if it has bluetooth, so you can play music from your phone, to the device, to your radio. If the bluetooth is sufficiently advanced you can fast-forward/pause/rewind on the device as well. And you can take calls using the car's speakers and the devices mic. They usually go on or near the visor.

I thought I did for your last one. In fact, I tried again and it tells me I can't do it twice. Is it not showing up at your end?
