I have a rather odd question. My wife and I just recently were given a nice crib for our new baby that is coming soon. I found however that we are missing 3 out of 4 of the odd shaped support pieces that holds the mattress rack/slats up. The pieces basically look like long bolts that have two 90 degree bends in them- they are custom for this crib and are not something that any store carries. I went to a place called Fastenal that carries pretty much any kind of fastener that you could ever think of, and the guy there said he'd never seen such anything like this. The manufacturer is out of business and the person I got the crib from does not have the missing items.
So my question is, does anybody know of a machine shop in the Seattle/Everett area where I could take the one that I have to have them actually replicate it and make 3 more?

There's a local company that does some stuff like that, but I don't know if they'll do an order that small or what their capabilities are. They may be able to recommend someone if they can't do the job though...

You'd probably be better off either buying a new crib or just using L-brackets from the hardware store and making the crib look not as nice (but still functional).

Machine shops are expensive, and you would be charged up the nose for the job. Figure to be charged the amount that the shop "could" be making machining aerospace parts.
