As you go east from Seattle, and into Redmond, Snoqualmie Ridge, Issaquah, Northbend, it rains more, because all of those areas are progressively closer to the cascades, and the cascades force the clouds to drop even more precipitation than they otherwise would.

Northbend gets twice as much rain as Seattle. I would guess Redmond gets 10%-20% more, depending on how far east you are.

As to what another poster said about not coming here for a job at Microsoft, I'd say it depends what group you are looking at. I think the big layoffs they had last year were mainly related to their Nokia and phone OS division -- and any related duplication of departments. Microsoft just isn't that good at phone and phone OS products (still far behind iOS and Android) -- so I'd avoid those teams.
