The wealth in these neighborhoods seems much more hidden, unless you see it from the water. Many older wealthy neighborhoods back east are much more conspicuously open in their display of wealth.
I have yet to see a really super fancy neighborhood in Seattle or the Eastside. It's all very understated, which is kind of nice.

Point Cities - Hunts Point, Medina, Yarrow Point, Clyde Hill
Mercer Island
Woodway

An honorable mention is the Seattle Highlands, but since it is within the city limits of Shoreline, it gets diminished a bit. If it were on its own, it would be Seattle's old money super wealthy suburb.

Have you taken a boat along the shore in Lake Washington? That's where you really see it. Some of the homes look very modest or aren't even visible from the road.

Yeah, modest is not the word that comes to mind when viewing some of those homes from a Lake Washington tour boat.

Interesting mention of The Highlands. I had forgotten that it is part of Shoreline. Lots of old and new money there, including the Boeings and Nordstroms.

So that's why I like that area so much?! The Highlands, that is. Champagne taste with a beer pocketbook was how my grandma used to describe me.

Pete Carroll, one of the McCaw boys and Jim Sinegal also live there. There are probably some other notables, too, but I don't know. It is a very private community. Much more so than Medina. Only about 400 residents.

Go to Redfin and search for $4M+ plus homes.

The greatest quantities of these homes are in:

Washington Park
Medina and surrounding area (including Meydenbauer Bay)
Hunts Point
Mercer Island along the north and west shore

These are the absolute richest neighborhoods.

I know that it is in city of Seattle proper and not the suburbs, but how does Broadmoor, the exclusive, private, gated community in Madison Park, rank compared with suburban wealth enclaves mentioned here so far?

It's up there! Another spot like The Highlands, just on smaller lots.

Lower in rank but well above average. For instance, Washington Park starts around $1.5M and goes up to $25M. Madison Park and Broadmoor start at $1M and go up til about $5-6M.
