I've been trying to figure out for about a year where I want to move my family. I love Seattle and I love San Francisco. Both have amazing reasons to move to either city. I agonize daily on what decision to make. All of the sudden it came to me... I can't make a decision!!! So with thst being said..... Whoever wins today is where I'm moving!

Game over!

The cost difference would make my decision!

Go Seahawks!

I'm not sure that the quality of life is necessarily better in the city that goes on to the Superbowl.
Maybe it should be the opposite: "Here's your consolation prize- you don't go to the Superbowl, but you get to have me as a resident!"

LOL~! I applaud the enthusiasm!

Personally speaking, I wouldn't move to SF. The city itself is unaffordable, especially with a family. So you're left with the suburbs, and you have to be careful where to live since a few are quite dangerous. In Seattle, there's maybe 1 neighborhood I would stay out of. The rest, including the burbs, are possibly the safest of any large metro area in the nation.

Don't get me wrong there's plenty right with SF and the Bay Area. To me, it would also come down to cost of living.

To quote my grandfather "Cost of living and quality of life are not independent. A good quality of life depends on the area, how it fits with you, and the cost of living there. A city could have a lot going for it but if you can't afford anything what's the point?"

So unless you're a CEO or some other really high baller then SF is not for ~97% of the population.

It's such a difficult decision. I love both cities.... But just can't seem to make a decision. Maybe I should spin the globe and just put my finger on any spot.

I have lived in both areas, 40 there and 20 here. I would never move back, but
still enjoy visiting every year or two. If you are a football fan, I would agree with
Ira (as I often do) but for a different reason. The losing team today will have that much more to work for next year, and a repeat (or 3peat if SF wins) is rare. Wouldn't you rather move to the place that has a better chance for the superbowl next year, when you are there, than the one that wins this year while you are still in S CA?

I'm a Bay Area native and I would choose Seattle over San Francisco without thinking twice. But as far as the teams are concerned...

GO NINERS!

These boards got me all excited about this game. I don't think I have EVER watched a football game on TV at home alone in my life before, but I'm watching this one! I wish I was there! The crowd is amazing! Can hardly wait to move to Seattle!
