Hello! As we get closer to relocation and making a decision on where to live, I wanted to ask some feedback about parts of the area that have access to better healthcare. Specifically to solid GI doctors, chiropractors, ortho docs, endodontists. Will I find good practitioners in the Olympia area, or do I need to be closer to Seattle? We are spoiled with our Primary Care doc and a huge practice 5 minutes away. Just wanted to see if this plays at all into the decision making process.

Thank you!

I am in health care and have been for many years. Lived in Oregon for 30 plus years. Also, lived in various states. I think in major areas you are going to find good Drs but are limited on specialties. In my opinion, the Seattle area has some of the best options available. All depends on your health care needs. Seattle definitely has the big guns so to speak and offers some of the most innovated care possible. Their are many different options to choose from and many different health care practitioners, hospitals, etc. I would venture to say your options are almost limitless. Your problem will be choosing who and where. Traffic is a big issue here and can be time consuming. This is a big area but your options are amazing.

Thanks, that makes me feel a lot better. I've specifically been with the same GI for 10 years and nervous about losing him. Trying to avoid having to go downtown for medicine though, is just such a huge hassle. Thanks again!
