I think I may have written about this in another thread but most of my t-shirts and polo shirts were free from various workplaces. Nobody seems to care that I wear a t-shirt from a few years ago from a company picnic for a company that I don't work for anymore. I'm a little older so I do own some clothes that I buy once a year around this time of year when everything is on sale at the outlet malls (up in tukwila) but I know many co-workers who are recent college grads who never bought a single shirt after graduating from college. In the last 6 months alone, I have received over 10 different clothing-type items (t-shirts, sweat shirts, a fleece jacket, a backpack, etc.) from work.

Heck, Zuck wears the same darn sweatshirt every day (he probably owns a few of them) because he says it's one less thing for him to think about.

Depends on the company/line of work. I work in IT so a nice pair of jeans and a button down with a sweater is "dressed-up."
