Hi,

I'm new to the area and have to plan a holiday get-together for my company during the Christmas-New Years holiday season. Approximately 70 adults and possibly 25 children.

Haven't decided whether it's adult only or to include the entire family.

Anyone have any ideas of things to do with a family other than Frankie's, JellyBeanz, Bullwinkles, Adventure Landing or ChuckECheese? I've been told about those places already.

Also, anything you can recommend for adults only?

Thanks!

Have a holiday skating party. Everyone brings cookies or drinks and have a family skate at one of the skating rinks. They will play your personal music too!

The museum of Life and Science in Durham has some event spaces. Kids love it and so do adults.

Exploris has a big event room. I have been to wedding receptions there. They are in the process of joining forces with Playspace, but will be reopening before the holidays I think.

I think the various museums in the area do Holiday parties, you'd just have to call t hem up and find out which ones do. I know 2 years ago we had it at the downtown History museum, bowling, ice skating, Raleighwood theaters, Pump it Up.
Our adults only one was at Cappers in North Hills. That was really nice, it's a jazz place and they also had a private party room. Another year we rented a hotel ballroom and had a catered dinner and DJ witha white elephant gift exchange.
