Subject says it all. We have a bunch of Indian casinos down here in SoCal. Wondering if Seattle has them as well.

Yes. We have large Indian casinos outside of Seattle, like the Muckleshoot, the Tulalip, and the Snoqualmie. Then there are smaller casinos(no slots) like Freddy's Club.

As Ira alluded to, Washington has two types of casinos. There are Indian casinos, and there are card rooms. The Indian casinos have special privileges that cardrooms do not get, most notably the ability to have slots, roulette, craps, and a larger max bet in poker. The Indian casinos can also allow smoking, though I believe they all keep their poker rooms smoke-free. They are located on tribal land throughout the state, with the largest ones being closest to Seattle: Muckleshoot, Tulalip and Snoqualmie, roughly in that order.

Card rooms can't have slots, roulette or craps, and are smoke-free by law, and they have a smaller max bet in poker (note the implication here, there is no true no-limit poker in WA). However they don't need to be on tribal land, they just need to be in a jurisdiction where they are not banned, or grandfathered in (this is the most common case). This means there are no card rooms in the city of Seattle, and they are mostly clustered in cities that allow(ed) them, or in the increasingly sparse unincorporated parts of counties.

Thanks for that. The Snoqualmie casino looks beautiful but there is nothing on their web site for making room reservations. So, does that mean no hotel rooms?

Tulalip and Clearwater have nice hotels attached, as well as a couple of others I believe.

Don't forget the Skagit Casino in Mount Vernon and the large casinos around Tacoma. Then there are the casinos on Whidbey Island that are surrounded by some awesome scenery of the Puget Sound.

Default Casinos around Seattle

And our jewel on the Kitsap Peninsula, Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort just across the Agate Pass Bridge from Bainbridge Island. A beautiful ferry ride across Puget Sound (and about a nine mile drive to):

Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort |

Clearwater has a golf course, too (White Horse).

(Eventually, the Point Casino north of Kingston will have a hotel, too, but it might be a few years out.)

Tulalip Casino is neat, rather a mini Vegas, good people watching.

So are you thinking of a casino-cation? Or just fresh territory to try out your card-counting method?

If the first, try:

Quinault Beach Resort & Casino | Ocean Shores Hotel And Casino

If you lose all your money you can sleep on the beach...
