What part of Seattle is the worst? Where and Why?
Based on , drugs (dealing, junkies), crime (thieves, murders), bums, and etc.

Skid Row?

Around Capitol Hill?

Downtown?

I´m doing a research on this topic. Any help would be very much so appreciated.

Thank you !

Parts of the Rainier Valley, as well as the White Center and Top Hat neighborhoods are what I consider to be the worst.

SODO? ...but it's mostly industrial anyway, CityGirl.

The only other residential area I can think of directly south of downtown would be Georgetown? ...or maybe Allentown or South Park? South Park used to be really bad but I haven't been there in years. Has it gotten any better?

I here people advising folks not to live near highway 99 in the northend. Why? Is it dangerous?

99 in the north end, north of 80th, is an area filled with rental housing and low end retail and light industrial use. The stretch from 125th to 145th has a prostitution problem and there are two trailer parks on the south end of that area. There aren't the gang problems that you find in part of Rainier Valley, though, but that might be changing as the low-income people who live in Rainier Valley are being pushed out by gentrification in that area and are looking for other areas to live.

Truth, though I would point out that the same issues, including prostitution, plague 99 all the way north through Everett. My wife is a Metro driver and the 358 route, from Aurora Village at 205th to downtown, is famous for it's colorful passengers and entertainment value. The numerous methadone clinics on Aurora add to the fun factor.

99 turns into Aurora Ave - it's where all the prostitutes and motels with the crap-ola of society are...

Also if you ever look up child molestors by area - they seem to all be registered there....

Which sucks cuz it's to close for comfort to our home in Greenwood.

with what i'm reading here, some areas of Lynnwood could also be considered "suspect" as well, no?

As a matter of fact many of the suburbs around Seattle have some of the worst areas in the region.
