This wont be an issue for me coming from the UK, Winter temps are usually around 40-50 and its dark by 4.30 as well

It's probably a little better here in UK in winter (and possibly a lot better depending on which part of the UK), and a lot better most summers.

What you think the summers are better in the UK? From what I have read I thought summers were more Mediterranean, the UK certainly isnt

apologies - minor typo in my original comment ... summers are mostly much better here than anywhere in UK

haha i was hoping you were going to say that. Our climate isn't great i was hoping for a better summer in Seattle.

Seattle summers are 100 times better than the best summer in UK. Winters are a different story.

The winter here is as good/better than most, if not all, of UK. It ain't warm and dry and bright over there in winter, ya know. Honestly ....

Thanks Frank, as long as its better than the UK I am on to a winner. I enjoy the seasons in the UK, but the summers are bit hit and miss and if you don't get a good summer you feel cheated


From what I have read it sounds better all round in Seattle.

Right now at 6:09am it's 53F in Seattle, I cannot remember having it that warm at this hour in December many times in our 22 years here.

It's been warmer than that. That happens when there is a heavy rain storm from the pacific.
