I have two quotes, one for about 12K out the door for a roof job, with Certainteed landmark shingles, and another for 7K for Iko Cambridge asphalt shingles.

I've read online that the Iko has a lot of negative reviews but I didn't see anything when I looked around a bit. Just a lot of people saying they heard Iko is bad, but not a lot of actual Iko users saying it's bad.

Figured someone here might know. Also, one roofing company suggested weaving the shingles in the valleys, while another suggested using valley metal. I've read conflicting reports over which is better. The same company that suggested Iko said a weave is better than metal flashing in the valleys. I only have one valley. If one method is better than the other, it's not that much more expensive to do one valley as metal...

Edit: I did find this link, and the reviews, even recent from this month are just AWFUL! I think I'm going to stay away from that roofing company and that brand. They told me Iko is better than CertainTeed. I'm starting to question everything they told me.

That said, it appears that the CertainTeed is not much better. Better yes, but pretty bad reviews just not as low of a rating. Apparently their landmark shingles also have issues.
