So I have a potential offer to be made to me which came out of the blue to be honest.
They are offering me 100K salary and I am wondering if this is a reasonable salary to live on in the Seattle or surrounding areas?

I know Seattle is expensive but just not sure if this is a decent salary and something I can live, and save, from instead of living pay check to pay check. I will also be renting (2 bedroom) and this would be for a single/individual person.

Thanks!

Rental budget around 2500-3000/month?
other expenses I think...

food: $600/month? (probably over budgeting here)
Internet/cable: $250/month?
Cell: $60/month ish
Gas/Electric: unsure!
Extra unexpected spending: $200/month
Travel (cabs or bus... since I don't drive) $500/month? (maybe over stating here)

if 100k per year can't get you by, then my pitiful 40k / year would have me homeless lol

lol.

I don't have a lavish lifestyle or anything but now in my life I need to start treating myself a little better rather than live pay check to pay check. I used to save lots but due to other reasons, things have not been so well! I now have this potential opportunity so want to make sure nothing goes wrong (or as much as possible) and not thinking it through.

You'll be fine. The earlier post was sarcastic. You can live anywhere in Seattle on that salary. Hell, for that, you could live anywhere in the Bay Area, which is a much more expensive housing market than Seattle.
