living in Seattle and would like to see some whales. I realize the whales have seasonal migration patterns and some of these things have to do with timing, but was wondering if anyone has any recommendations to any whale watching tours they have done. There are so many in the Seattle area that it is difficult to tell which ones are actually reliable. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I am leaving Seattle in the beginning of May and really want to squeeze this experience into my stay. Thanks !

Drive to Anacartes, go out with a company called Island Adventures. We have been with them a couple times and really enjoyed. The orcas are most regularly seen in the San Juans, most strikingly off the west side of San Juan Island. Here's the link:
