Hey, I was wondering what are the chances of a 20-year-old of getting an apartment with bad credit in areas like Capitol Hill where rent is 2000-2500 for 2 bedroom apartment. Knowing I have the first and last months deposit.

Do you have a job or offer letter? That is required at almost all places.

I'm moving from Hawai'i, moving to Seattle just to start my life. I have a large amount of savings due to some good business decisions but I won't have an immediate job or place to stay but I figure I have enough money to make some things happen. I have some work experience only started since I graduated from high school. I will be moving with a friend he is in the exact same situation, has money but nothing else. We are both moving out of parents house so any information that you might think I need to know would be great.

You'll have a better chance where apartments are more in supply and renters more in demand: Lynnwood, Federal Way, for instance. If your parents are willing to co-sign, that would help.

So, why Seattle?

hmm I will do some research on those places thanks for the help, my parents are staying on Hawaii and I'm not sure if out of state co-sign is a thing.

Seattle for a lot of reasons climate, location, career possibilities, environment, and culture all seem to be things that I can see myself enjoying for the next 10 years or so.
