I go to MOD pizza around twice a year.

Did not realize that this local company was growing so fast nationally (ranked fastest growing restaurant in the US last year).

They added 110 locations nationally in 2017 and now have have over 300 total locations.

MOD Pizza raises another $73 million - Business Insider

Seems like they are following the route taken by Chipotle many years ago in the fast-casual dining sector.

Speed speed speed:-)

And probably better than the mega-chain pizzas per most people.

I prefer Pizza Hut thin crust:

Agreed, like most local food options it’s not good and vastly overrated. At least it isn’t overpriced too like most local joints, so it has that going for it

It's no surprise, seeing how they basically apply the Chipotle business model to pizzas.

Unfortunately, I can't say I'm a huge fan. But I understand the appeal (Fast and cheap).

I was dumbfounded when I saw Mod Pizza in London. As someone said earlier, it isn't even very good.

How is there a niche for that mediocrity in London, where you can choose from a dizzying array of excellent restaurants from practically every nationality?

Even we in Seattle, where the choice is poorer, deserve better.

Well to be fair, Seattle restaurants aren’t known for being very good, so Mod fits in, but LONDON does surprise me. That’s like having a Mod in Manhattan or Beverly Hills

Why is London surprising? The city is overrun by cheap, fast joints (Pret a Manger, EAT, Leon, Yo Sushi). MOD is a great fit.
