Just curious as to what residents think about the vibe of Seattle. I'm not trying to compare it to other cities, but does it have a small town feel like some large cities have, such as San Antonio, or does it feel like a large, metro vibe like SF?

Both. The downtown core ,Belltown, Pioneer Square, Georgetown feel like big city, but some of the in city neighborhoods feel very small town, in a good way.

That's what I heard before-that Seattle's downtown had a big city feel. All I have to go off of is Pwright's pics-in terms of looks and all.

It depends what you mean by small town feel. If you are referring to a place where people leave their doors unlocked, where shop owners let you come back with a check later if you left your checkbook at home by mistake, and where people always have time to stop and chat on the sidewalk when you are out and about, then no. I don't think there's any neighborhood in Seattle like that. There's no place here that would feel like the places they talk about in the Small and Rural Towns forum.

If you mean a neighborhood where you can park in front of the store that you are going to, where there is a small commercial district set in a neighborhood of single family residences then yes, you will find those.

Even in those neighborhoods, people around here still run around like ants on an anthill like they do in any big city.
