Seattle, w/expansion potential in a basement, in W Seattle for somewhere in the $350K range, I don't remember, exactly, but well below 4K. Good nabes, too; not "gentrifying" marginal nabes. Or consider a condo.
West Seattle 2 br with basement for under 400? Where can I find these?

It may feel that way, but I don't think this has ever happened. There is always some sun in the winter and it never rains "nonstop for months". This is just a subjective opinion and not a fact.

Hey Ben Stiller : Look down toward southern White Center and even better Boulevard Park/Riverton.

Last year was kind of the same, no?

My brother lived in PDX for some years and has briefed me on conditions in the PNW before I came here.
I used to visit him in PDX but it was always in the summer so it was nice.

Anyway, God bless climate change! or at least this winters climate. I don't think long periods of gray would bother me. But this is nice just the same...

2016 was wettest seattle on record amd i think 2017 was above average too, then this last winter swung the other way, so I guess its been awhile for average normal like back in 2015. Most average winters are not that bad, long as increased precipitation isnt something that will become more common with climate change in this area.

for 2016: For the third consecutive year, precipitation was significantly above normal in Seattle—fueled in large part by the city’s wettest October on record.

That was a year ago. Probably that same type of house is now going for $4ooK or $450, I don't know. And the ones I found were not in White Center or other "gentrifying" (i.e. ghetto transitional) neighborhoods. You have to check the listings on a regular basis. Some were east of Lincoln Park, but you never know; you can find something like that just south of the West Seattle bridge, or anywhere, almost. Look in Roxhill, among other areas.

Here's one. Seek and ye shall find. Have you even been looking? 3 br. 1.5 ba, cedar closet, large workshop.https://www.redfin.com/WA/Seattle/10...06/home/476335

Here's one of my faves, at $425K:

Thanks!! Schools aren't highly rated, not that that's a end all be all, but any insight at all?

Lifetime Piglet Sounder here and after living through the '16 and '17 winters I started my moving plans. Apparently I was OK with one year of rain & gray (remember 98-99?) but beaten down at two.

Was it really that bad? How many gray days in a row were there without any sun?
