Hmm...all this talk of amazon moving out of the area yet this announcement only solidifies its presence in the Seattle metro. One can’t help believe amazon will continue to be mainly a Washington state company. Right now it looks like Washington state and Washington DC. (Virginia).

Yeah, I don't see them leaving the metro Seattle area completely anytime soon, but figured that after last year's stunt, they would somewhat start to down sizing their operations/staffing within the Seattle's city limits... K. Sawant should be happy that the evil capitalist Amazon is now moving money outside of the Seattle city council's reach!!

K. Sawant and her co-conspirator, A. Cortez, on the national stage, are really showing Amazon who's the boss here in America... Just only in their little twisted socialistic minds. Corporations, both big and small are not going to put up with these idiots and their ill-informed followers... Btw, how many real jobs did either of these two politicians have ever created... Excluding any and all staff members, who are paid by the American tax payers in one form or another?? Now, for the more important question, who many "real" jobs did these two clowns loose from either their city or district??

If you're honest, you know it's thousands of jobs, as just stated in Seattle alone, that they're solely responsible for losing for the people that "they're" suppose to be looking out for. But, in this game, there will always be losers (NYC and Seattle) and winners (Bellevue, D.C. and other possible locations).

I'm not too worried about the well paid "tech" employees since they can afford the cost and easily adjust to moving to Bellevue. "I" truly feel bad for the low/mid skilled "support" and "contracted" workers who are currently making around $15-$20 a hour since they're are the ones who will feel the sting of the extra cost of traveling to their new work sites on the other side of the lake. Also, I feel bad for the small business owners in the SLU area since many were struggling to stay afloat before this happened.

I know that many feel that socialism is the answer to all our problems, but as I stated several times on this site, the rich can do something the working class can't do... Move with ease!!!

Btw, it's not a shocker that "I" support capitalism to the max since it has worked for me, a blue collar worker and a person of color.

Splitting the locations between Seattle and Bellevue will likely improve traffic including crossing the bridges. Everyone wants to make this political when it's still in King County and don't forget, Expedia moved to Seattle from Bellevue.
