I just spent most of my trip on the amazing island of Sulawesi (south part), really cool islands of Wakatobi (Biningko, Tomia, Wangi Wangi), Buton Island with the excellent Lambusango Jungle, then about a week in the fascinating Tana Torajan highlands, they have the most elaborate funeral rituals on earth. . I just spent most of my trip on the amazing island of Sulawesi (south part), really cool islands of Wakatobi (Biningko, Tomia, Wangi Wangi), Buton Island with the excellent Lambusango Jungle, then about a week in the fascinating Tana Torajan highlands, they have the most elaborate funeral rituals on earth. I can afford to stay where I want but choose to rough it, hitchhike, take little local buses. Here's a little non literary grade blog I wrote of the first half of my trip that you may enjoy:
