Hi All,

Going to take a house on rent in Redmond area pretty soon. With COVID-19, what kind of disinfection services can I use? e.g. before or after getting my stuff moved to the new house, I would like to get some cleaning service done to disinfect the entire home from COVID risks.

What are people moving in these months doing?

Thanks.

Let the house sit empty. One day should do it, but 3 days would be conservative. Just give it a few days and eventually the virus can't survive without a host. I wouldn't want other people going in and out and touching surfaces when time sitting empty will do a much better job.

I'd air it out as well. Viral aerosols linger when there's poor air circulation. Surface contamination now seems to be less of a concern than it used to be.

All the articles I've read say that the virus falls apart after 3 days on all inorganic surfaces.

Do a little research to make sure your concern is sensible.

All the reports I read, from the non US epidemiology sources and, not from some Timbucktoo doctor but, from Germany and other European countries, say that there is zero live virus on hard surfaces and pets in houses with current COVID carrier.
I could post a link, but it's Russian voice over German epidemiologist report, so no much use for you.

Besides, are you going to encase property into some sort of air tight dome, not permitting NEW air from coming in?

Use an ozone generator when the house is empty. It kills viruses including Covid. They’re for sale on amazon. Read about it first.
