Yeah, I'm thinking 70% chance this gets cancelled before the border opens.

This doesnt mean Canada border agents will welcome u with a smile. Even during normal times they can be jerky. Going to the mall? Why when you have a mall in Bellingham? Bunch of a-holes. It also doesnt help that they recently went on strike and left their duty and left truckers lined up holding their **** while losing money.

You mean they now have to see 40 cars an hr instead of 2 or 3. The easy money is gone for these guys and gals. Yes I would be cranky too.

Funny, I’ve never experienced this, the Canadian border people over the years have been overwhelmingly kind to me and my family, almost too chatty sometimes. The reverse isn’t true, I’ve had numerous encounters with surly, militant and almost nasty US border guards on the way back into the states. To clarify, I’m American.

^^I have experienced it, more than once. The stories I can tell. I've made lots of border crossings to lots of countries, but only had problems entering Canada. Never, ever had problems entering USA.

Married a foreigner. Before he was a citizen we would have "interesting" and "enlightening" experiences with our fine, upstanding homeland security personnel. I especially like this one time, returning from a keynoting some academic conference he was kept for nearly 3 hours and threatened with prison while I was stuck waiting with our toddlers.

I also married a foreigner (a Canadian) and we had serious issues several times re-entering the states.
Some of these people are unworthy of their position.
