Must say was pretty this AM in Kirkland watching it start c. 5:30am (near downtown). Out for coffee & roads were dry at 5am then it started in earnest. Roads a bit slick but my tank-like SUV is down with that...within reason as I don't have snows. 99% on-road so Cooper H/T Plus, an all-season that handles wet quite well.

While likely won't last nice to see a few inches down so far couple hours later. It's such a lark as I have few-to-no reasons to be out day after Xmas.

Edit: I went out with a ruler. 5 inches and still going in Issaquah. I have to leave here to get a kid and I Covid tested... we fueled up our AWD vehicle a few days ago as a precaution so hopefully WE will be fine.

Other drivers?

Just took the dog for a walk, beautiful and quiet outside. We have about 4 inches on the ground in Madison Park.

I’m seeing plenty of cars, SUVs and Pick-up trucks stranded on the sides of the roads in the South King County area. I will be driving down to Olympia area tomorrow.

Good luck, supposed to get another inch or two tonight. We ended up with 7", and it's currently 12F here in Sammamish at 600'. Beautiful morning looking out the windows but nasty roads. My game camera caught a snowplow going by at about 11PM last night but that was before the additional 1-1/2" fell, so still snow on top of ice.
