Aloha lovely Seattle people,

Is there still a vending machine for ORCA cards at the Sea-Tac airport? Any idea of where it's located?

Since Macy's / Nordstrom (or whoever they changed to) has moved out of the downtown Seattle location, is there still a train stop at that location?

Is light rail still the best way to get between Sea-Tac and Pike's Place?

Yes, there are ORCA vending machines on the lower level of the Sea-Tac Link Station. They are located between the escalators taking you up to the train platform, pretty much facing the walkway entrance to the station.

Yes, the Link continues to stop at all the original stations (including Westlake near Pike Place) and now goes up to Northgate.

Yes, we almost always take the Link ourselves because it's easy, it's cheap, and it's much more predictable than other modes of airport transportation.

Thanks, fnh!

What with the last few years, one never knows what the changes have been. We can't find our old ORCA cards but they're inexpensive enough to get a new ones. Seattle has a great public transportation system we look forward to being able to use it when we visit.

If you're not doing a lot of transfers the Transit Go app works well. We live downtown and have never used an ORCA card, only Transit Go. Other than the fare, it costs nothing.

Also Nordstrom is still downtown in their nice flagship store. Macy's did leave, and that location is in the process of being renovated for new tenants including more Amazon office space (they already have the upper floors), a Uniqlo store, and some other offerings.

Just FYI in case you're planning to do a little shopping.
